This is Joey, the new kid. He has started to come out and train with
us in late 2004. He handled Mattie to a Arizona Pointing Dog Club
2nd place in their hunter division with 5 finds and 5 retrieves and
then lost the run off for 1st place. Congrats Joey!

lab Molly. 2-4-2005

Mattie on point again the same afternoon.

Pistol on point the same afternoon.

April 2nd NSTRA AZ Regional Championship.
Matt Tanner and Moon took the Champion title and Lacey and myself
took 1st Runner Up.

In September we went Blue Grouse hunting, we did not run into any
grouse but did have the dogs point some mearns quail. Never the less
it was fun to spend some good time with the guys hunting off
horseback.

A immature mearns cock we found on our grouse hunting trip.

November we made a trip to Idaho, this is a shot out my Grandfathers
kitchen window of Valley Quail he feeds wheat to on the top of his
root cellar. There were about 100 plus birds in the covey.

While hunting Huns in Idaho we got this shot of Joey and Pitch on
point.

Here is a shot of the mountain we just got done hunting Chukar on.
2000 feet in elevation from the truck to the top. It was fun. Notice
Lacey was beat.

We went to the Cochise Bird Dog Clubs annual qualifier field trial,
it was held this year between Wilcox and Safford. It was a nice
trial and they had the Amateur Walking championship also that
weekend. We ended up placing 3 dogs that weekend. Gut and Roxy took
first and second in the Open Derby and Pitch took a second in the
Amateur walking derby handled by Joey. |
